I also think that GV writers should follow SEO's (Search Engine Optimization) guidelines to rank higher in Internet search engine's results. In Spanish, for example, we have "Escribir en Internet" by Fundéu, that is an excellent book to learn how to write on the net, because people don't read on the net in the same way as they do when they read a book. Perhaps GV writers should take more into account Internet search engines in order to rank higher in Internet results. They should read a guide to Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and write their posts according to this guidance. In Spanish, for example, there is an excellent book by Fundéu "Escribir en internet" that teaches how to write for the web. -

The thing is that when the post is too long, people read only half of the article. So there is no point in writing too long. In Spanish "Lo bueno, si breve, dos veces bueno". Good things when short are twice as good.
